Motherhood Blog

I’ve had quite the personal journey over the last few years and it has all been so intricately woven into my experiences of motherhood. From being mothered, to having my own babies, to moving through the seasons of their childhoods, to losing my own mother and learning about her complicated story when it was far too late.

Motherhood is so much more complex than I ever understood until I dove deep into my own story and all the research/literature on motherhood that continues to evolve. There were themes I had been seeing in my work with families navigating infant feeding difficulties for years, as well as a new understanding of Infant Mental Health I’ve gained through more recent trainings. With all of this together, I have found the theories and language to describe what I’ve been feeling and seeing, both personally and in my professional work.

My goal is to share all that I’ve learned so you can gain a deeper understanding of how motherhood not only changes your body, but also your ways of feeling, being, and thinking. With this information, you can feel empowered to be your authentic self, show up for your baby and even your partner in the ways they need you most, and confidently follow your instincts while navigating motherhood in the information age.
